Salem Group had the privilege of collaborating with the Rene Moawad Foundation (RMF) on a project aimed at enhancing the wood processing sector in Tripoli and generating sustainable income for carpenters through the innovative Minjara platform. RMF’s Minjara platform consists of a multifaceted facility, including a carpentry workshop, a design lab, a spacious exhibition area, and versatile event spaces, all designed to empower carpenters and promote their work.

Scope of Services:

1. Business Plan Development: Salem Group’s team worked closely with RMF to create a comprehensive business plan for the Minjara project. This plan included a 24-month projection detailing the minimum income and sales targets required to ensure the platform’s continued operation beyond January 2023, considering the termination of funding.

2. Profit Margin Calculation: We calculated the profit margins that needed to be applied to each Minjara product to contribute to the platform’s long-term financial sustainability.

3. Operational Strategy Review: Our experts conducted a thorough review of Minjara’s operational strategy. We identified activities that could be optimized or expanded upon to boost Minjara’s revenue and overall impact.

4. Cost Control Strategy: Salem Group advised on cost control strategies, including optimizing salaries, managing equipment and raw material costs, and minimizing operational expenses to ensure financial efficiency.

5. Human Resources Planning: We performed a headcount analysis and determined the necessary expenditure on human resources, aligning it with the long-term sustainability plan.

6. Financial Forecasting: Our team formulated a 24-month financial forecast, outlining the minimum income and sales targets essential for Minjara’s continued operation beyond January 2023. Additionally, we developed a preliminary revenue model for the upcoming 12 months, taking into account various factors influencing income.

7. Profit Margin Definition: To ensure profitability, we set profit margins on each product, providing a clear vision for costs and pricing strategies.
