Final Evaluation for “Sports for Peace” project
Overview:
We are proud to showcase our successful completion of the “Sports for Peace” project, marked by a comprehensive final evaluation. This initiative was aimed at assessing the program’s profound impact on youth, coaches, and communities. The final evaluation report provides valuable insights gleaned from both quantitative and qualitative data, offering a comprehensive analysis of the project’s journey and outcomes. The “Sports for Peace” initiative was conceived to address social cohesion and personal development among youth and adolescents in communities facing various challenges. Launched by Right to Play, the project harnessed the power of sports to instill life skills, promote positive behavioral change, and enhance athletic abilities among children aged 6 to 12. This initiative comprised two main components, each targeting distinct aspects of holistic development: Athletic Skills Development and Life Skills through Play-Based Learning (PBL).
Methodology:
A mixed-methods approach was employed for the comprehensive evaluation, combining qualitative and quantitative methodologies. This approach included an inception report, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), quantitative data collection using the ISELA tool, rigorous data analysis, and visualization to ensure accuracy and reliability. The evaluation focused on assessing children’s social engagement, diversity tolerance, and the overall impact of the project on their lives. The insights gained from this evaluation will guide future initiatives, enhancing our ability to make a positive impact in communities through sports-based interventions.
