Governance and Development Consultancy for LINKED Program
Overview:
In 2019, Mercy Corps, the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), Oxfam in Lebanon, and Al Majmoua established the LINKED Consortium with support from the European Union’s Madad Trust Fund. LINKED aims to promote sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic development in Lebanon by enhancing livelihoods and strengthening local businesses.
Consultancy Description:
Mercy Corps sought a onsultancy firm to assist two business clusters, Cosmetics Cluster in Mount Lebanon and Dairy Cluster in Bekaa, in designing governance structures, identifying fundraising opportunities, connecting with donors, and drafting fundraising proposals for each cluster.
Scope of Work (Per Cluster):
1. Conduct a kick-off meeting with cluster members to establish an action plan.
2. Develop a governance structure defining roles and responsibilities.
3. Provide a one-day fundraising training to cluster board members.
4. Facilitate connections with potential donors.
5. Draft two funding proposals.
